Mini Rigs of Doom Four

Don't think I've qualified for this thread until my move to Taiwan last summer. Before the move I had Duke make me an AudioKinesis Hathor 1203, this combined with my Puma 900 is truly a mini rig of Doom! Combined weight of 27.5 lbs makes it an easy one trip wonder!

What is that amp head that is sitting at the bottom of your bookcase? :D

Not many people know that Whirpool made bass amps for a short time. They were actually really nice amps but, because no one really knew about them, they stopped production after the first year or two. In fact, the only celebrity endorser they had was Geddy Lee, who also used their washers and dryers on a few tours.

:D

Yeah, the pair with enough wattage (like the puma900) puts out crazy volume and low end. More than any 210 I've heard.
There is an incredible bass player in Boston (Richard Gates) who has been using those for years, with a Walter Woods. He plays for songwriters (he really is one of the great treasures of the bass guitar) with P basses and gets the most wonderfully warm and clear sound around.

Are those what you're still playing through?

Yeah the 2x VL110's and I have a pair of Berg CN210's for more punchy tones. The EA's are pretty tough to beat, especially since you can get a pair used for around $600.

I push 500 watts into a Acme 2X10 3 way cab its very nice..two would be nicer..Its great to be able to control the mid driver and the tweeter separately, you can feel this one through the floor...I need that...

Genzler MG 800 head, (800 watts class "D" and can even operate into a 2 ohm load), Schroeder 12-12 Light (dual 12" drivers - one in a corner folded horn construction 8 ohms), Schroeder 12 PL (single 12" at 8 ohms) - small foot print. Neo speakers with crossover and tweet. 103 SPL and 102 SPL respectively. And it is loud and proud.
