Much of this thread is discussion about whether a rig meets the MROD criteria. I understand everyone's interest in trying to stick to the thread topic, but much like grammar-policing the Internet, this is a sisyphean task, and takes away from the intent of the thread, which is to provide small amp porn, which I enjoy viewing. I mean this in the most friendly, fellow small-amp porn viewer way.

Here’s my totally mini rig of doom:

• Ibanez Mikro ‘Super’ 5, Bartolini X4’s into EMG SPC and BTC, new pickguard, brass nut and Hipshot baritone tuners.
• TC Electronic Spectra Drive Preamp
• (2) Mackie DLM12 powered speakers

Guitarists: ‘hope you can keep up with our 100W tube heads and 4x12 cabs..
Me: ‘let’s try it out....(.boooooooooommmmmmmm)...
Guitarists: ‘whhaaaaaaaattt?!?......whoa, that is loud!’
Me: ‘volume is on 3....’

Not sure if I should "like" this, I really wasn't intending this as an endorsement of porn per se, outside of small-amp porn and other bass-related guilty pleasures, but I appreciate the well-wishes.

Thanks Dave, no worries, I wasn't sure (I mean I thought it was, I was pretty sure, but it's hard to absolutely tell without tone of voice or facial expression sometimes) but wanted to make sure my post wasn't misconstrued as a blanket homage to pornography. It wasn't . (an homage, that is).

It’s a homemade job, designed as a single cabinet, but internally divided into an identical pair of ported 2x10s with Eminence 2510 drivers, tuned to about 40hz, and a switchable compression driver. Built with 3/8” radiata pine ply and plenty of broomstick braces across the larger panels. About 50lb if I recall. It has a grille now too. Nice and loud.

My new mini bass rig: Eden WTDI preamp-->Jay Ganz Straight Ahead mini-power amp (500W into 4 Ohms)-->Eden EX110 (wizzy 10', 4 ohms).

Gets surprisingly loud for a 1x10. The Eden preamp makes this rig sound just like my Eden WT550, 25lbs for the cab...got the preamp on sale as an open box for 117 and 200 for the cab shipped new. Under $600 for the whole rig. For upright right I will use my Headway EDB2 preamp.

Where did you get the mini-power amp? Can’t seem to find any. I’m interested in this exact same rig with an added EX110.

This one-hand carry turned out to be quite a MROD today in practice. Aguilar TH500 into a TC Electronic RS112 cabinet. The bass I used is a 2014 USA Jaguar Bass. Lots of tweakability!

EDIT: I should add that that is a pretty tiny rig, kind of at the bleeding edge of Mini Rigs of Doom. And it's a pretty cool one, too!

Here is mine, Rumble 500 and 2 DIY 10's. Just got the new rumble and refinished the cabs.

They are 16h x 12w x 14.25d.They have a eminence 2510 and I think rated at 350 each. Weigh right at 20 pounds.
