Notice how the Shuttle 8t cabs never come up for sale?! Jeff Genzler, if you're listening, you'd do well to make another run of those cabs!
The Shuttle 8T cab is fantastic. I sometimes use my GK MB500 with it.I run my Quilter BB800 on top of my Shuttle-8T cab. Sometimes on top of a rectangular milk crate horizontal, sometimes vertical. The cab fits *perfectly* with the Quilter head/case tucked inside.
Killer rig for far more things than you think it would work for.![]()

I was kind of the opposite, years ago (before Genz Benz disappeared) I really wanted a Shuttle 3.0-10T - I remember spending half a day calling music stores all over Ontario, trying to find GB dealers… no one had that combo, but one had the 8T version, so we jumped in the car with my bass, to try it out. When I plugged in and played the first note, I was sold. Later bought the gig bag for it as well as the carry case for the head.I got SUPER lucky.
I'd owned a Shuttle 3.0-10t combo, but I'd sold it. The local music store had a Shuttle 3.0t8 combo - that they sold the head out of. So it was just the T8 with the brackets...sitting there. It sat there for at least a couple of years, with me periodically asking what they'd agree to selling it for. The number was always too high. I waited another year and asked again. I'm like "No one wants it but me. $150 and I walk out with it today."
I won.
Since then, it's been modded with a speakon jack. But I use it for everything that doesn't involve a drum kit (and sometimes even then if the room and/or PA are right for it).

Sorry for the blurred cell pic. It's a Quilter BB800 and a MAS 2-8 cabinet.Kind of blurry... what is it?
I would love a small, relatively inexpensive (I know, that has no meaning) tube or tube/ss amp to go with my PJB C4 cabs for home practice and recording. Looks like the Ampeg PF-20T is about the best bet for about $700 new. Any other ideas or suggestions? Would prefer to keep it under $500 but I don't want a toy. If the Ampeg is the way to go, then I'll just wait for a nice lightly used one to come up here or on 'verb.
Thanks!
