I bet that'd be a killer rig! I gigged with a 210TX (the predecessor to the 210TVX) for years, and they are great cabs.

My Peavey 210 is surprisingly good for what I paid for it ($379 Cdn new). It'll handle a 5-string nicely as long as you don't really push it. The combo is surprisingly hi-fi yet full and mellow at the same time.
I hear good things about the MusicMan cabs. I missed out on a local HD 2x12 for sale that I was interested in because of YOUR recommendations here on TB. Nice combo there. Good on ya mate.
I have one of those cabs too. A TVX 210. I use it with a Combo 115. It does go very low for a 2 X 10 cab. They are stupid heavy though. Mine weighs in just over 68 lbs. I posted it earlier in this thread. I think it's on page 28.

ot: that custom shortscale is soooo hot... i've been thinking about dark-starring my gibson eb-0 lately instead of getting rid of it for a p-bass. how does the dark star do in the neck position with the shortscale?

Sorry for the delay; these are both 220W. I use a single wireless output from the bass and split it in the floor switch to both amps. Each combo amp has it's own controls so they need to be balanced. These could also be run as separated stereo out of the Ric-o-Sound jack on the bass, one on each pickup; haven't taken it to that point yet.
It's not big, it's a combo, and I never play any gigs loud enough to warrant a bigger system. I imagine I'll buy one when the need arises.

That is a great rig! I reviewed the Suitcase/4B for Bass Guitar Magazine, and I had a real blast with it. I think I could cover about any gig I do (with PA support) with that rig. Very punchy and articulate, and a killer rig for those who double on electric and upright.

Is that the 5500 head? That looks like a loud MiniRoD! I'm not a fan of Hartke cabs but I own the 5500 head and love it.
