I used to have a similar set, I mean the head was 6 rack height,(trece preamp, + sunn poweramp), and an 1x12 cab, which was even smaller...
First I sold the rack, than the cab as well, and bought a sansamp, which I used for years.

Is that the 5500 head? That looks like a loud MiniRoD! I'm not a fan of Hartke cabs but I own the 5500 head and love it.

How that is classed as mini i dont know

Actually, the one in Greenfield (Near South Milwaukee). I know they move gear back and forth quite a bit, so it could have been in Kenosha for a while. I'm assuming you've seen this then?

I know the Greenfield store well too!!! My current Sonic 2x10 came from there.

Yes, I saw "a" B1 in Kenosha recently, although their website still shows one in stock...maybe it's a different one.

That is interesting. I am searching...again...for a solution to my amp problems. I mostly need a stage monitor for PA supported gigs, but something that can stand alone for small to even medium clubs. Ialso don't have much cash. This is a realatively inexpensive rig - except for the Focus SA.

LOL... Yep, that's my amp. When I called the one in Greenfield, they talked about the Kenosha inventory as their own, so I think a lot of stuff moves back and forth. They said it could move back and forth the same day. Also, Greenfield still has mine listed there, even though I bought it on Thursday.

The Greenfield has a Goliath 610 that I am drooling over right now. It's $500, so not sure how long it will last there.

I'm really loving Music Go Round too.. I've now got my Hohner, Laney, and Peavey 410 all from there.

Wait a minute ... I don't have a photo of it with the speaker cab. Well, please just use your imagination. It normally sits on top of this (1x12" Traveler 121H) and is plenty loud enough for my purposes.

No, it's not a typo........
It's 2400 watts of Thunderfunk in what could be a three speace unit, 'cept I added a tuner, so it's four spaces. Still only weighs 35 lbs.

Does having the compressor after the BDDI cause any noise problems if you dial up some overdrive?

Well, might be too big for the Mini rigs of doom, but to small for the big rigs of doom... Not sure where to put it.

I just got it yesterday though so I got to show it off to everyone.

Congrats! I picked up a Laney B1 last year 2nd hand and I love it (apart from the onboard compressor ) ! It's a very clear, powerful great gigging amp.

Mesa Walkabout 12" combo on top of a Mesa Scout Radiator 15. These 2 4 ohm cabs supposedly push the Walkabout head to 500w (according to a prior posting by Ben Strange). In any event it sounds great and kicks out some major low end goodness !

Well, to tell you the truth, the Sansamp only arrived last week (although I did own one in the distant past) and I have only tried it once in rehearsals.

I connected them this way round, because the Sansamp manual specifically advises you to do this (the logic being that the compressor may rob the BDDI of the necessary signal peaks to create the distortion effect, or so I gather). I can't say that I have any noise problems, except for the extra hiss that I get, if I boost the treble controls on the amp, the bass and the BDDI all together. I seems to work better when I keep the LMII tone knobs at 12 o'clock (except for the VLE & VPF knobs) and let the Sansamp take over EQ duties.

It seems to work pretty well. I've tried switching the EBS compressor through its' three different modes as well (tube emulator, multi-band and normal) with the BBDI set up for mild distortion and, for some reason, it's a lot easier to hear the differences between those three settings. When played "straight" (i.e. without the BDDI), I could barely hear the compressor working, let alone notice the differences in tone.

Actually, I've seen this LMII, EBS "Multi-Comp" and Sansamp BDDI combination in a couple of other posts here, so it seems to be a combination that works well for other too.

With all of the bass GAS that I suffer from (don't most of us, though? ), it's really great to have arrived at an amplification solution that I really like and that is flexible enough to cover any musical style or type of venue, which I'm ever likely to find myself in. Even if I wasn't in a band, I could keep this little rig in my living room and just use it for practising, without it really looking out of place!

I recently had to get a road case for my two AccuGroove Tri-112L cabs, and they don't look so small anymore when sitting on top of it.
