Mini Stacks Of DOOM

Good morning, just re-browzing this thread.

Tell me about this rig, is it the 50 watt head? Is it tube? Are the cabs 12's or 15's? Are they both extensions or does the head flip into the top?
Thanks.
That picture was my PF-20T (20 watts) all tube head on top of two PF-112HLF cabinets. I have since upgraded that setup with a PF-50T (50 watts) all tube head. The cabs are not flip top.

I'll play.......:bassist:

LowWay , i guess you win. that's impressive --- where do you play any of it?

actually that was my version of shopping for new gear during the pandemic. I ordered a ton of stuff to try out from stores with good return policies this summer, and only kept the winners.

The keepers were the bergantino Forté HP, and 4 NXT112s. The other stuff all went back, much to my disappointment. I wanted the PJB stuff to win because of form factor, but nothing beats what I kept for my tastes. After 35+ years of playing, this is simply the best rig I’ve ever used. Jim Bergantino is a genius.

That's a wee lad up there. Get good volume?
Gig report: Did a gig last night with the mb200 and 2 Neo 112's and had no problem being heard. The band is not very loud so I had expected as such. Next week is the real test. It will be outdoors with 3 guitar players and a drummer.

I am going to go against most TBer's and say that I prefer the sound of the horizontal stack versus the vertical stack. To me it seems like the bass is way more pronounced stacked the low way versus the higher way. I guess it's a matter of whether you want to hear it or feel it.

2nd gig report: I did a gig with the same rig. GK MB200 + 2 GK Neo112's. This time was outdoors, 2 electric guitars, 1 acoustic and drums. I did not receive PA support. The rig was able to keep up with band however the amp was set at about 4:00 and I don't think there was much left as far as volume. There is a good amount of growl at that setting so if you want clean at loud volumes I would go for an amp with a bit more power for the headroom. I liked the sound I was getting so I will stay the course. I do have options for extra power and I like the sound of that amp.
