Mini Stacks Of DOOM

My second cab came today. I've had the other cabinet for about 10 years. I'm still trying to figure out if I want to go vertical or horizontal.

That's a wee lad up there. Get good volume?
I have not done a gig with the two cabinets yet. I have been rehearsing this summer with the one cabinet and not having to push it too much. I have 4 gigs in October. One band is classic rock with three guitar players and a drummer. The other band is a Tower of Power type of group with 3 horns, guitar, organ and drums. Neither of the bands are super loud. I'm going to try the rig without PA support and see how it goes. If it doesn't work the PA support will be there so I'm ok testing it out knowing the PA can be a backup. Both bands have a nice PA with subs. What I noticed so far in adding the second cabinet is the bass is much more beefy than with the single 12". I really like being able to tote that head in the pocket of my gig bag.

It is tiny. I had it hooked up to a four ohm EA Wizzy, and another time a Berg NV 115. It didn't get very loud but with two Neos it will probably do better.

I'm not expecting a miracle but I do like the sound of that head so I want to see if I can make it work. I'm a fan of really simple controls. If not I can either use the DI or I have an Acoustic Image I can run as a power amp and use the GK as a preamp. I'll let you know how it goes. The first gig is on the 17th of next month.

It does have great tone.
