Kraigo... will you plese teach me how you did your filters? (at the GTG)

I'd be interested in that too!

ExaltBass... please sell me your morley switcher.
It sold in about 10 minutes in the TB Classifieds, but I have another switcher that I'll bring along.

If anyone has different types/gauges of flats on a bass, I'd like to try them out at the GTG and see how they feel. I have Chromes (50-70-85-105) on my P bass and I'm thinking about trying some flats on my Jaguar. I tried some Fender flats (45-60-80-95) on the P bass a long time ago, but they were too floppy for my taste. I think I may have overcompensated by getting the heavy medium Chromes as the tension is pretty stiff, but I do like how they sound.

I'll bring the P-Bass and Artcore. I pretty much swear by GHS Precision Flats at this point. Lakland Joe Osborn's were my main string, but GHS makes them - they're basically the same string but the GHS can be gotten for about half the cost.

KO

I also primarily use flats - usually .045 - .105 Sadowsky Flats, so I'll be having those represented there, and I have my BEAD "Chevy' Bass with well-broken-in Sadowsky flats ( .065-.085-.105-.130 the lowest 4 strings of a 5 string set) that I'll be bringing for sure!

One thing that might be nice for someone to do is to bring a 2 channel power amp, a 410 and a 15 so people can see how ineffective the pairing is. I have a pair of SVT410he and an SVT15 and have done this myself. Once you experience it, you wonder why anyone would ever bother with this combination.

I could bring them, but it's a lot to drag out and there is a chance I won't be able to make it to this one.

A TB Mythbusters session!

That's a great idea. I don't own a 115 or a 410 so I can't help, but I'd sure like to see this demonstrated.

As long as I'm typing - will you permit me a quick hijack/vent?

I just accepted an offer for a position in a working cover band, mostly old classics; Mustang Sally, Margaritaville, Chuck Berry, Stones, Blues Brothers, that kinda stuff. Now today I find out they also hired a female singer who will be coming to practice tonight and they're adding a couple tunes for her: two Gaga tunes (never even heard 'em before) and two No Doubt tunes. :rollno:

I guess this is my welcome to the world of cheesy cover bands - eh?
