I've got an old tube combo practice amp. It's a Traynor Bassmate in case anyone's curious. The amp section is great. Two EL-84's, 15 - 20 watts of power.
The cab section is a 15" speaker in way too small a cab. It's a boomy yucky mess. The baffle can be screwed off, so I'm planning on making a new baffle for a (front) ported 10". I've got a pair of Eminence S2010's, one which would work great, but they're overkill for this project and too valuable to waste.
I'm looking for a used 10" with a "conventional" magnet and known T/S parameters. Fairly full range up to 4KHz or so. Basically, a used non-neo S2010. New would be considered, in fact I should look at what Parts Express has for Dayton 10's.
Suggestions or offers would be appreciated.
I've got four Jensen (50 watt) Mod 10's that I'm planning on pulling from a sealed Fender BXR 410 cab and putting original electronics back in. I suppose I could use one of those, but again, I think I'd have better luck selling the Jensens as a set rather than one at a time. Both the Fender cab and the Jensens are available, BTW. IM if interested. They wouldn't be that expensive - good for leaving at a rehearsal space.
OK, now I'm rambling...

Added: Looks like an Eminence Alpha 10A would do a really good job for ~$50. [Invalid or Expired Link Removed]

Added later - Well, not that good, OK though. I need to hit the Music Go Rounds and look for an unloved cab to scavenge, I think.
