Unfortunately me and the Roctal will not be me making an appearance. I woke up this morning to a leaky water heater. So instead of jamming with you guys I'll be spending money on something not so fun.

Darn - our gig/recording session at Wilebski's didn't end until about 4:00. I could have driven over there and arrived in time to bid farewell to everyone, but I decided to just go home instead. I enjoyed meeting everyone this past fall, so I am really disappointed I couldn't make it to this one. I definitely NEED to make it to the next one!

Yeah hey thanks again y'all. This was my first GTG. Met some cool folks, played some nice basses through some nice amps, what a cool way to spend a couple hours on a Sunday. That was a good home brew too.

Dave, I forgot to ask what kind of flats you have on your BEAD pbass. I really did dig that setup.

Hey, Boba (and everyone else). I just checked MF and they're running a 15% off deal right now. If you were to buy the same amp as me (the GK MB212), you'd get it for $594.15 (regularly 700). If you don't mind a few bumps and bruises, you could get one of the used ones they have available for $559.20 (the coupon doesn't apply to used gear).
I know you said you were more interested in a cab (also available for discount) than the combo, but I thought I'd throw in this extra bit of info. MF has two separate listings for what appears to be the same amp; one is marked Best Seller and the other New. I'm guessing the New one is the updated version with the special XLR output for connecting it to their powered enclosures. The idea with those is you can buy an MB combo and one of their powered enclosures (no tone controls) and slave it to the controls of the combo for a monster rig. Also, if you happen upon a used combo somewhere, you can send it in to GK and they'll update it with the new XLR output or send you a new amp that's already set up with it. They've gotten a lot of good pub here on TB for the swaps they've been doing. Good Luck.
