I'm working on my gig-rig hauler but it hasn't run since the 70's.

I'm looking forward to the GTG this weekend. I'll be putting my Tobias Basic 5 up for sale next week, but wanted to give you local guys first dibs on this fantastic bass. I'm the original owner and have had it for over 17 years, but times are what they are. This is post Gibson (serial 2848) but still a dandy of a bass. If you or anyone you know might be interested, give a shout.

I've been dying to try out anything from the fEarful family - if anyone can commit to bringing one, I'll be there to check it out.

I'll be there with my mean, green fEarful 15 6.

I'll also have some really nice stuff for sale:

Ampeg SVP-PRO all-tube preamp

Carvin RC210 2x10 kickback combo with 600 watt amp

Carvin RL115 1x15 cab

Those two Carvins make a real nice, all-purpose, versatile rig. Use the RC210 alone for smaller gigs or set it on top of the RL115 for a real nice stack. 600 watts, stereo or biamp, real tube preamp section, built-in compressor and graphic EQ, etc.

This one is bound for my church's rehearsal space, but it will make a brief detour to the GTG.

Eden E8i (25W 8" speaker with ipod dock)... not loud and not bad! Also, not long in the Eden line up. Probably a victim of the Marshall switch-over. Got it cheap through Zzounds.

So, this is kind of a last minute announcement, but my band is playing Mayslack's in Nordeast tonight if anyone's looking for something to do. We're not as good as any of Kenner's bands (I'm pretty sure he's playing tonight too), but if it's too long of a drive out to the 'burbs to see him play and you're still itching to go out, come on out. We're on 1st out of 4. Advertised time of 9:00pm, probably start at 9:30pm.

I'll be bringing my ibanez and crate practice amp. 99.9999999999% sure it won't leave the car, but I'll bring it anyway. I'd love to bring my cab and tube amp, but I make the great decision to bury them deep in the storage closet, and I don't play enough to dig them out. Can't wait to meet with you guys though. I'm sure I'll learn a lot!

It was great to meet you, Todd! And you won't be sorry you decided to build a fEARful. It's without a doubt the best-sounding cab I have ever played. YMMV, but I doubt it!
