Can we change you from "Registered User" to GENIUS?

You are officially my favorite person on this forum.

But seriously, i am no stranger to heavy lifting-in college my rig was a bassoon sound b210b (110lb 210) with a 50 lb pre/power setup in a desktop rack because I was too cheap to buy a decent rack case. This was up in superior, wi where not many places we were playing had pa support. Coming to Minneapolis, where every place the band played had pa support, I didn't need a big huge rig (especially when the sound guys always put a rolls DI between my bass and monster rig, it didn't really make sense to strain my back over it all. I discovered the eminence bp102 10 inch speaker, and two of them gives me enough depth to hear myself sound how I want to hear and the audience will hear what they were hearing anyways, only now I provide the desk with a better DI.

I've grown sick of moving my 2x15 cab in and out of my basement.

I need one more email from Leland and I'm placing my order for all the parts to build a fEARful 12/6 + 12sub stack.

Now if I can just get our guitarists to move them between the car and the stage, I'll be all set!

Hi and welcome.
There is a lot you can learn here on TB.
Subscribe to this thread to stay on top of when the next GTG will be.
There are a lot of great people that attend and more cool gear then you will ever see in any store.
Our winter GTG is usually after the holidays, late January early February when cabin fever starts to set in.

Hi! I'm a sometime lurker here, but interested in meeting y'all at a GTG. I'm an old fart, playing bass since '73, but relatively new to the forum. I've subscribed to this thread, so I'll get the updates.

I've been in a few cover bands in the cities over the past decade plus, but usually as a guitarist. I'm not in a band, per se, at the moment, but interested in getting back into some band as a bassist. Turns out I PLAY guitar, but AM a bassist. I do, however, frequent an organization called Link Removed, which lets me stay fresh with the musical skills. You can see some of my work with them if you go to their video page and click on the links for a band called "Rivendell". Played that set last month. I'm currently playing guitar in another RCFD band doing Def Leppard tunes, playing this Saturday afternoon at Bunkers

Anyway, I'm looking forward to meeting folks at the next GTG. Cheers!. :D

Welcome Micky. Nice to meet you.

Haha, your funny and I like your style.

I've been looking through the pages, but I can't find a time or place for the gtg. It probably doesn't help I'm sleep deprived but can someone help me out?

I send out the location a week before the GTG via PM. Be sure to check back after New Year's... I'm guessing it will be in mid-late February, based up past winter GTGs.
