I used it first through both of my 15's @ 4 ohm with a little overdrive and it got loud enough to keep up with my drummer. I brought home my TL606 with the 3015 Kappalite and it just destroys my B20 combo. It works best with a active bass seeing that it does not have any tone shaping ability. My Jazz with 3 band pre in sounds great as does my 2 band EBMM. I got it to use at home and don't need it real loud. I'm all tube all the time now. I am ordering a Ampeg SVT-210AV for it today from MF.

I've got one of those little Egnater Tweaker heads, never occurred to me to plug the bass into it. Now I gotta go find me a 2x10 cab.

There is also a blues to bluegrass Jam from 9 - 11 every Saturday AM. Players get 1/2 price food. I play there every once in a while, but they always make room for whoever shows up. Very low intensity and a pleasant place to eat and play with others.
I figure free strings and a free shirt ought to make this a carpool worthy event.

Just clarified half of it, regular old guitars of the 6 string variety are being given free strings and having them installed for free. Not sure yet on basses. He is calling up Fender to get a clarification on basses.
Hmm with all of this chatter in this thread lately I think that it would be good to do another GTG sometime soon. I don't have a space to offer to host but I would be more than willing to help organize it.
I'm hoping. I'd like to try the new ones, but spending on an unknown isn't in the budget.
Still waiting to hear back about the bass strings.
Here's an idea: we could have a GTG at McNally Smith. I've been pitching the idea to the brass and it looks good. Pro: easy load-in, plenty of space. Con: no beer if students might come (which they might). Whaddaya think?
