Here's an idea: we could have a GTG at McNally Smith. I've been pitching the idea to the brass and it looks good. Pro: easy load-in, plenty of space. Con: no beer if students might come (which they might). Whaddaya think?

McNally -- Depends on the time slot... Parking and Congestion can be a pain at times.

Ive had parking and load in issues when doing stuff there in the past.

My warehouse is always an offer - just need some coordination help as my schedule is unpredictable for communication.

A fair bit outside the Twin Cities. You might want to hit the Dakota. Dakota Jazz Club & Restaurant | Dakota Jazz Club & Restaurant It's the best Jazz bar we have, AFAIK. I'm not in the Jazz scene so I can't say that with a great degree of confidence.

Dang. This is my wedding anniversary. I can hear it now...would it be a problem if I...no? Divorce? I love you?

Well hmmmmm - I got the green light to host the gtg at MS - enter on Cedar Ave (no stairs), elevator right inside the door, a couple of 2nd floor classrooms with flat screens (got any relevant DVDs?) - on a Sunday afternoon traffic & parking should be cool. I see at least 3 people aren't good on the 7th. The good thing about that date is: there will be remodeling going on between semesters (late August) and the next opportunity might not be til mid September. Also I have no gig that night. Should I pull the trigger or should we talk about a different date, perhaps at MNairhead's location?

P.S. I would bring my souped-up '64 Showman, maybe my Fender 300PS, more interesting instruments.....

The 7th might work for me. I've got stuf that actually might be of interest this time - lightwave hybrid and a PF-500. Could bring cabs too (SVT15E, 2x SVT410HE), but someone closer might have them for trying with the 500.

The drummer in my band said she would love to hang out and play with some really good bassists. The GP in the band owns a catering business and said he would run the grill & jam along too.
