Adding my voice to the chorus for black. Maybe because it's a 70s thing, and I grew up in the 70s, but I also think tort is too busy aesthetically on a burst. Black just looks sharp imo.

Black is the answer most of the time - here is one more example.

By the way: mint, parchment, white, all those white or slightly off white pickguards, when you get on a stage with a bunch of different colored lights, they're all white - you'll never see that you have a mint or parchment guard in those circumstances.

Brown Tort, if that's what you decide. That other one looks baaaaaad.
However, I am inclined to agree that a nice light mint just may fit the bill. A bit more subdued than stark white, plus not your normal/standard "Tort Issue". God forgive me............
