On topic: These are going to be two terrific series. The networks will love the Mets/Cubbies series; the KC/Jays series not so much perhaps. But I plan to wade firmly into both. I see that Marco Estrada is starting Game 1 for the Jays (yay!) and David Price is getting Game 2 (well....). I think that's where the rubber is going to hit the road.

I can't take the stress of another Jays series going the distance so I am hoping they beat KC quickly.
Going to be a great series though. Same with the Mets/Cubs. October is going to be fun regardless of who wins.

I understand. If the Brewers were in it, I would be rooting for a sweep. With all four games having the Brewers score 10 or more runs. In the first inning. Before they made an out.

Yeah Mets! Attier hasn't lost on the road since May, but NY got to him early. That catch from Granderson got the crowd UP, and they stayed there most of the night. Duda's bat is still an iced brick, but at least Wright managed to get something done with that early RBI double.
That was a good game.
Chicago and Toronto aren't done yet but the Mets are looking good. So are the Royals.
Hey, at least they made it to the NLCS, unlike the Hackers.
And props to the Mets, they played incredibly well--pitching, defense, and hitting. Murphy's postseason batting has been, like, 48 standard deviations above his career averages.

I was lucky enough to get into a VIP thingy after the Jays game tonight.
Spent some time with Devon White. Don't know if there are more than a few outfielders in the history of the game that were better defensively. The Jays' Pillar is up there, but Devo was all class. Listened to my BS, told me some great crazy stories that can't be repeated here , etc. Total class act. So great to spend time with a legend that won 7 golden gloves and has WS rings to back it up.
In any case, seeing Devo tonight made me very happy after seeing George Brett a couple days earlier. Brett was a miserable knob. His team was losing large, but he wasn't nice at all.
Brett.... Geddy Lee..... Within 30 feet of each other. Random but weird IMO.

The Jay's are a great team! They were the team I was most concerned about it the post season. I saw how dangerous they are when they came back against The Rangers. I had a few choice words for Bautista during this series, especially when he tied it up last night!
Still can't believe Cain scored from first to put the Royals on top! I'm also a bit surprised how good Davis was after the rain delay. He is amazing!
Same here. I don't really have a favorite. Any other year it would be the small market KC or most AL teams over the big NL NY team, but KC kicked my team's butt!
I just hope it is a good series, is all. Cool that both teams haven't won a WS in 30 years as well.
I AM a little mad the Jays didn't get to the next level. They will likely be great next year, but so will Boston and the Yankees will absolutely reload their lineup with top talent. The AL East will be tough next year.
