MLB 2018

That has to be one of the most disappointing team sport seasons I can remember. That team was so loaded with stars and they were cruising along beating everyone in sight.
Counteract that with the '95 Mariners, which is up there, if not #1, as the most exciting team sports season I have ever been around. It's right there with the '91 UW football team.

Absolutely to all of that. I got to Seattle in 1987, which means I got to enjoy all of those earlier seasons, and suffer the agony of the 2001 flameout. I expected them to be a powerhouse for years after that season, but they disappeared permanently under the waves ever since. Plus the farm system is poor for now as well. Steve Goodman's ghost has moved to Safeco Field.

“Intense”?!
You’re being far to kind.

The first words that pop into my mind on rare, painful occasions when I think of ‘Yanks fans’ would get me beaten FOR LIFE by the ban hammer.

I was at Fenway the day Mike Lowell retired and the Sox split a double header with the Yankees. There were probably about 25% Yankees fans there. They were a ..... rowdy.... bunch.

Yeah it should be some good baseball. Two very different, yet very good, baseball teams. Nobody will walk away with this one. It'll take some blood sweat and tears.

I'm insanely stoked for this matchup as well. The Astros-Red Sox series have been some of the best since they changed to the AL, and frankly they seem more likeable than the Sox's other major series out of the Bronx (at least that's just my insanely biased perspective. At least the Yanks aren't as bad as Cubs fans were....)
