Jays win again today. Oh man, this feels good. Three straight wins in New York, securing a series win. Chance to go for a sweep tomorrow!
He might be 50 but he still has a little bit left in the tank. The Angels should give him another 10 year contract! 
The Mariners dropped a series to the As. Ouch! That is NOT supposed to happen this season.
the braves have a tough ball club. between the dodgers, mets, and braves, looks like another year for the n.l. in the w.s.

he can replace trout. geez, will trout ever play again? best player of his generation, if only he could stay on the field ...
Yeah, that's a bummer. Trout is still so good when he plays. He just needs to play more often.
Well, they couldn't complete the sweep, but taking 3 of 4 in New York, even if the Yanks are slumping, is no easy feat. Definitely a good weekend of the Jays! Today is an off-day, and then they start a series in Boston tomorrow.
Jays won again last night. They put up an 8-run inning (!) on the Red Sox to run away with the game. All 8 runs were scored with 2 outs. And no HRs, which is a bit uncharacteristic of this team, but certainly not a bad thing. The batters strung together several walks, singles, doubles, even a triple by Springer to clear the bases, to score all those runs. It's a beautiful thing. Stripling had another solid start too. Kikuchi couldn't complete an inning out of the 'pen though... that was ugly. Poor guy.
You guys got a great player, and a great human, in Jackey Bradley Jr. Defensively, he's just unreal. If he can get his bat together he'll help take the Jays deep into tue playoffs. I can't think of anyone who steals more homeruns at the fence than JBJ.
Even if JBJ doesn't hit much, I think he'll be a big help to the team. He can take care of CF and Springer can DH the rest of the season. This team performs so much better when Springer is in the lineup. He's great in CF too, but he's injury prone. Wrap him up in bubble wrap until the postseason and just DH him. A combo of JBJ and Merrifield will be just fine to cover the CF duties.
But this time a good run of winning a majority of their games will win us the Central. Haven't been in this position for a while. And yeah the Yankees and Dodgers and ? are better this year but if the Cards could not have to go through the wild card and put a good pitching run together then who knows? They barely got the wild card in 2011 and look at that result.
The new, balanced schedule for 2023 is out. The Jays start the season with a series against the Cards in St. Louis!

the fall of divisional ball? i won't mind. after the forced league transfer, i certainly don't care ... kinda funny to see the rockies tagged as 'natural rivals' of the astros though
it makes sense that the blue jays and cardinals are rivals though, based on their mascots
whither goest thou, orioles? other 'natural' rivals: white sox/reds, angels/padres, braves/rangers ...

Frankly, I think it's good to have more of a balanced schedule. Not only does it make things more fair for the WC slots, but I'd like to see other teams more often.
