As a Philly fan, this weekend has been nothing short of amazing. Got rid of the Cardinals in two sports and got to witness a historic NYM collapse. (sorry Mets fans)

I thought we matched up well against the Cards and picked us to win. The NLDS is a little dicey. Head to head the offenses and starting pitching were relatively close throughout the season, with Atlanta's bullpen playing much better.

I'll hopefully be going to game 3. I'm just happy to have playoff baseball back.

I find it a bit funny that the Phils/Braves are getting the early time slot today. They are not the biggest media markets, I guess, but they are two good teams, divisional rivals, and Atlanta won the World Series last year! Guardians/Yanks ought to be the day game. Give Atlanta the prime time spot.

I came down with something over the weekend and I feel like trash today, so I am conveniently working from home. I'm going to watch a lot of baseball this afternoon/evening Probably won't be able to stay up for the late game though.

With the 2-2-1 format, stealing one of the first two road games is huge. If the Phils can get another W tomorrow then Atlanta will be in deep trouble!

alvarez is a great story. also, it was fun for me seeing the astros rookies get to play and really contribute. brown and hensley were both late august callups. and pena had one of the best clutch ABs of the game in the 9th right after altuve struck out.
