Romano got J-Rod to strike out--phew. But an M's win seems inevitable right now, unless the Jays score a ton of runs in the bottom of the 8th to put it out of reach. I'm not even sure who will pitch the top of the 9th. UGH.

They walked Julio. They struck out France. That was playing with fire but I wouldn't want to put the game in Julio's hands. They won that one. I may start drinking early if this keeps up. Both teams have emptied the bullpen. After 13 innings, a catcher will be the winning pitcher and a 3rd baseman will be the losing pitcher.

Ok, this is a ridiculous game. It is officially ridiculous. It doesn't matter who wins almost. The Mariners are ahead now, but the game isn't over. So they won't stay ahead this game. It must be a full moon.

Well, that is that. Some terrible performances out of the bullpen from the Jays. 9 runs wasn't good enough. They squandered a couple opportunities to score more earlier in the game, and couldn't keep the M's off the board either. They simply didn't deserve to win. This hurts, but honestly there is a part of me that is relieved to not have to watch the Jays anymore. Now I can just enjoy a good ball game!

Holy heck! I went to play some pinball and chat with some friends with the Mariners down 7. I get home ten minutes ago and see the last two outs. Now I just hope this isn't the last time I get to watch Molina and Pujols.

Most seasons, I could feel your pain. This time, the pain might be a heart attack. The next heart attacks will be in Houston. This is a good team, but they are the Mariners. Mariners fans have learned to expect it to all fall apart. So far, it hasn't and it feels like it might not fall apart. Which means even bigger disappointment when they wash out.

Why the great googlymoogly was Ottavino still in there?!?!?!

Walked in a run after 2 walks and a hit batter. I can't believe Buck left him in there to give up a run like that. Diaz took the ball in the 7th for 5 outs, but Ottavino was OBVIOUSLY gassed trying to work 2, and Buck left him in when he was flailing. Insane. Lugo took care of the last out in 4 pitches. What was Buck waiting for?

McNeil finally hit one when it mattered most, he has been visibly uptight. At one point they put up a stat that said they were 2-20 with runners in scoring position.

Shocked the Mets made it to game 3 after Scherzer having possibly the worst playoff start in the history of the game, and deGrom shaky out of the gate tonight.

Ottovino has been the only other consistent reliever the team has had all season. Lugo has been hit or miss for the last 2+ seasons - exactly what Buck was trying to avoid after the last two games.

But I'll take it...

I was happy to see the Phils dispatch the Cards yesterday. (I am not anti-Cards by any means, so don't get mad at me Cards fans! They're just always so consistently good, it gets a bit boring always seeing them in the postseason, and Philly hasn't been around in October for a while now so I was pulling for them)

I am now both the world's biggest Guardians and Mariners fan. Please do away with the Yanks and Astros!

In the NL, Phils/Braves should be a juicy match up. I am more inclined to cheer for Atlanta. And either the Dads or Mets vs. LAD should also be a really great series. I'm still hoping for San Diego to advance, but I will be happy for my Mets fan friends if NYM beats SD today.

I will never under any circumstances, for any reason, root for any team that contains Manny "I don't $%^&^%% hussle" Machado. I hope any team that gives that chud money never wins another game. Ever. He is as big a pox on baseball as David "Big Roidy" Ortiz. Yeah, I said it. Posturing putz normalized bat flipping and posing for foul balls, and got a free pass for juicing.

The Mariners wiped their bullpen clean yesterday. Good thing they have a couple off days before taking on Houston. I assume Logan Gilbert will get the start.

Looks like to me when the u pscame out to check Musgrove, he put something down on the ground behind the mound, and a few seconds later, I saw an infielder digging there with his foot in the dirt. Fishy...

I did not see this, but whatever that may have been, doesn't stop the Mets pitchers from giving up 6. They looked like a team that blew a 10 game lead.

I want the Astros to win, but whoever wins, I'm rooting for in the ALCS. I think my biggest hope is that the Yankees and Dodgers miss out on the WS.
