Also I’m happy to see Stroman pitching well for the Cubs this afternoon. I would love to have him back in the Jays’ rotation.

And we really are off to the races now. The Mariners and Guardians were all knotted up at zero until the 8th last night. Cleveland wasn't hitting against the Mariners but the Mariners kept flailing with people on third. Until Ty France solved the problem with a three run blast. Real baseball. The crowd was doing a Seahawks noise thing, which isn't the usual baseball environment, but the Mariners are crediting it for rattling the opposing pitcher. This season could be a huge amount of fun.

That was a nice win for the M’s last night.

I was pleased to see the Jays hang on for a 10-9 win over StL yesterday. Certainly not how they drew it up, but a W is a W no matter how you get it. I have a lot of confidence in this team to come back no matter the deficit, no matter how many times they fall behind, and they did that yesterday. The lineup is stacked. But the bullpen does need to be better. At least Romano closed it out strong in the 9th.

Cards win! And get the series 2-1. Also it was a surprise to learn that the Cards held the Jays two zero home runs, which is the first time in franchise history the Jays haven't hit at least one.

And the Mariners have now lost three in a row. Jeez. It's early, but c'mon. Turning into a bunch of stumble bums and digging a hole early isn't how to win a pennant.
