MLB 2023

You sound like a Mariners fan. It's kinda the same thing in a lot of ways, except that the Jays have been to the World Series and the Mariners haven't.
Jays and M’s are 1977 MLB expansion cousins after all, both team’s fan bases have gone through some pretty rough patches over the years! It’s a shame some of those really good Seattle teams weren’t able to bring a WS championship home… but it will happen someday!

I love you, man!

I thank you. I don't thank the Mariners for losing to Texas last night. This last ten games will be a wild ride.
The O’s are the real deal.

Went to The Ravine last night. Unfortunately, the Giants won. This coming week will be a test for the kid pitchers looking to make the playoff roster. Sure hope the Dodgers make it to 100 wins.

Cubs keep fading out and then sucking me back in, finished out home season with another win today. Interesting that due to Monday's rainout the D-backs game with the Sox has been rescheduled for Thursday (day game!) and tix will be $1 with free parking (and current weather forecast looks good). If Cubs don't fall off the face of the earth by then I might take the day off and head down south for my 2nd Sox game of the season. Could be a real meaningful game for that last wild card spot.

The Mariners are killing me! They seem to be sinking like a stone. If they keep it up, it will be football season. Except that they will probably win enough to be blissful agony to follow right to the bitter end. Being a Mariners fan has always been an exercise in questionable choices and iffy sanity.

Being a Dodger fan isn’t easy either Will. I had to listen to the ESPN idiots wax on endlessly Sunday night about how great a manager Roberts is. Yeah right. A streak of division titles since he started in ‘16. Great. Huge payroll. Usually the highest or second highest in baseball. One, count-’em only one, World Series title. And that in the 40 game Covid season. If they get jettisoned again this year, I hope the guy is gone.

And they lost to the Rockies today who are on the way to finishing with 100 losses this season.

Bah! The Dodgers are at least a potential champion every year. The Mariners are usually a lost cause by June. I am not used to this kind of extended agony/ecstacy. The only thing harder than being a sane Mariners fan is being a sane Mets fan. Not that I would know these days.
