MLB 2025

The Jays were close to completing the sweep in Boston yesterday... but it was a tight game and a wild pitch by Yimi Garcia allowed Boston to tie it late. Sox win in extra innings. Oh well, three out of four is a very nice result! Now Toronto is in Baltimore for three games. The O's aren't exactly on fire to start the 2025 season. Let's hope they stay cold for a few more days. I will be thrilled if Toronto can come home from this road trip with a winning record intact.

Spring Training Countdown

103 days, but who is counting? The Dodgers are not even home yet. That is fine. When I said it would be a couple of weeks, well, that may have been incorrect.

Time for the hot stove and pathological optimism. This is the year! You all know what I mean.
Well the Pirates are looking like their usual self wining roughly 1/3 of their games (‘which means the only games they are winning are the games at the end of a series when the other teams rest their “real” players to take on the next opponent.

The Mariners had a laugher against Texas last night. Finally. And they won again today to pull even for the season. It looks like Julio is even beginning to hit. It is early for him. I hope it keeps up. Raleigh is on a tear. When the catcher is your power source, it is a little unusual. The Mariners don't do normal.

The Brewers blew a 4-0 lead in the ninth last night and lost the series today. Not a good weekend, but it's the first series loss since being swept on opening weekend. This is a young team, they should bounce back. Plus, we'll start getting our starting pitchers back from the IL. The future is bright, I just hope the present can be as well.

The season is starting to shake out and I'm sure that it comes a suprise to no one that no team is going to go undefeated. The SFGiants took two out of three from the Yankees in New York. Happy with they way they are playing so far. Could use some more bats besides Jung Hoo Lee and Wilmer Flores but I am confident that Chapman and Adames are going to come around.
Most prognasticators predicted the Giants to be at or near the cellar in the hot NL West. Suprise! The Giants are in second place. Let's see if they can keep this pace up. GO GIANTS.
Between them and the Golden State Warriors I don't know what games to pay attention to. GO WARRIORS! Tough loss yesterday but they are not out of it yet.
On a side note the SFGiants are going to have a Steph Curry bobblehead day. :)
