The bigger the + odds number, the less likely that team is to win the World Series according to the odds makers. So, for the purpose of betting, the Dodgers have the best odds to win the WS and the Rockies the worst odds.
And the payout is better the longer the odds are. A $20 bet for Seattle (+2000) to win the WS will pay more than a $20 bet for the Dodgers (+230), for example. (Assuming the team you bet on wins it)
Well, not last night they didn't. Tonight is a new day. Or something. The good thing, if you can call it that, is Julio's bat showing some signs of life. The Mariners have been doing this with Julio below the Mendoza like most of the early season. If he gets on a tear, it will be pretty good. Time for a breath holding contest?
Yeah. All in all good numbers. I’m surprised the Angels pulled that well in April. The Padres always do well, being they’re the only game in town and play in a great park.
The Blue Jays salvaged what was looking like an ugly road trip over the weekend. Phew! They avoided a sweep in LA by the Angels, and then they swept the M's over the weekend in Seattle ( Sorry @Gaolee ). Started the trip 0-2 and ended it 4-0. I'll take a 4-2 West Coast trip every time! Got the record back to .500. Today is an off-day at home and then the Rays come to town.

It's good to see the Angel Hernandez School of Umpiring is still alive and well in MLB.. some of the calls in the Giants/Twins series this past weekend were absolutely atrocious.

MLB fans were in disbelief after umpire Adrian Johnson had the worst game behind the plate since 2017
Adrian Johnson had almost no sense of the strike zone on Saturday.
That whole crew was bad. Sunday had its dopey officiating moments too. Mercifully, I missed Friday.
Precisely the reason I have turned my original opinion around 180 degrees and I am now for the electronic strike zone as demonstrated in this years spring training games. I'm also beginning to sway in that direction. When it was first discussed and put out there years ago I was 100% against it however, it is definitely getting worse and worse as years go by. I'm very old-school and love the aspect of manager/ump confrontation when calls are absolutely wrong but it's gotten out of control with some of these umpires being so completely incompetent it's actually ruining the game.
I'm all for the automatic strike zone. Let's make it consistent. Today's umps are fooled way too often.
I don't want to bring on the wrath of the baseball gods. But a certain unamed favorite team of mine has won 9 in a row and has moved into second in their division.
That's two more wins than the Rockies have all season.
I'm sitting here being distracted by the Dallas Stars Stanley Cup chase, and the Mavs winning the draft lottery, hoping that the Rangers will get their act together while I ignore them.
