White Sox and Cubs played at Wrigley this afternoon. At least the South Siders can take solace in "Pope Bob" being a fan.
I witnessed the A’s and Dodgers series this week. Sure, they need pitching. And they committed some horrendous defensive mistakes. They have some nice young bats. This will not be their year. I’m rooting for Will’s Mariners. But. I think they will be poised to really be a factor when they move into that new park in Vegas in ‘28. I feel for Oakland. They deserved better.
I took advantage of mlb tv free games last night and glad that I did. The Giants/A's game was pretty entertaining with Wilmer Flores 3 hits, 3 hr, 1 grand slam and 8 rbi's, on top of logan webb pitching a solid game and getting run support for a change. I can't remember a game like Flores had since maybe the Barry Bonds days? Anyhow, it was a fun friday night.
Well the Angels are 3-0 in the four game series at the ravine. This week the Dodgers said goodbye to Austin Barnes and Chris Taylor to make rooms for the kid catcher Rushing and getting Edmonton back off the IL.
The Jays have won two in a row against the Dads including a 14-0 win last night! This team hasn’t come close to double-digit runs this year 
I hope it’s a sign that the lineup is starting to find a rhythm.

The AL west is tough. The freaking Angels swept the Dodgers. At Dodger Stadium. That hadn’t happened in like fifteen years years. I’m rooting for your M’s bud, just because.
The Mariners are in Houston today and over the weekend. That's going to be a litmus test of sorts. A number of years ago, the Mariners always seemed to beat the Astros. Lately, it's been the other way around. I liked it better some years ago.

If I go to a Rockies game this year, I'll be cheering for the Rox to keep their losing streak going. Their only shot at a national record this year is losses, and they have a good start on it.
Given how I hate the Cheatros more than I hate the Yankees, GO MARINERS!
Oh, the NL West will very likely be decided the last week in September. It’s fun to have four teams above 500 after almost two months of play. Even the Snakes, who slithered in a couple years ago and won, can’t be dismissed. I love baseball.
The Mariners stumbled in Houston. Crap. They seem to have figured something out after an off day. Maybe. I don't want to say anything about Raleigh or the fact that Rodriguez may be starting, finally.
Giants were swept by the Tigers this last series. Damn, I thought the Tigers were looking good this season and I found out, yep. They are good right now.
The Pyrites (you know fake gold) are on a tear having won 5 out of their last ten games.,Considering season long our Bucks have only have won 20% of their game to date, this is a dramatic turnaround. That said, they are still 8 games behind the 3 best team in the division.
