MLB 2025

Corbin Burnes needs TJ

Yikes 😬 Maybe he comes back to pitch in the second half of next season, assuming a smooth recovery. But it could be the 2027 season before he’s fully back even if he pitches a bit next year. That’s tough.
That’s a tough break. He has always seemed like a great guy. He’s fortunate to have signed that big contract. I wish him well.

The Mariners continue to stink. But Julio's average is up near .250 now. Which means he is finally starting to hit.
I know the M’s have not played great lately (the L10 record is 3-7 which is kinda ugly) but at least they are still above .500 and in second place in the division — only a 2.5 games back of Houston. It could be worse!

The Brewers wasted too many opportunities and Machado launched one out for a 1-0 Padre win. Oh well, the homestand continues with Atlanta and St. Louis.

In other news, my wife and I are headed to Toronto to see the Brewers on August 30. It'll be our first time in Toronto, so we'll be seeing the sights over the weekend. I can't wait to see the Rogers Centre.

Didn’t care for him that short time he was a Dodger. Now I can’t stand him. Wish the Brewers would have trounced them today.

Since there's no minor league baseball thread I'll post this here. Very interesting "local" story I've never heard about until I found this little book in a free library. I've only read a little of it but it's quite an interesting and entertaining story. Drain is a small town about an hour southwest of Eugene; NOT a place I would have ever guessed to have a semi-pro baseball team.

Another series win secured for the Jays. I think that’s five in a row now. Let’s go for the sweep today boys!

The upcoming weekend series in Philly will not be easy, but they’re off to a very nice start on this road trip. I’m hoping they finish it strong.

Meanwhile, back California, the Dodgers are struggling to play .500 ball. Padres beat the daylight s out of them last night.

Looks like the Rangers picked up Kimbrel. I was worried there for a hot minute that the Dodgers might give him another try. The last time he was with them time didn’t go so well. He’ll probably do great in Texas.
