I am doubtful that Kimbrel has anything left in the tank

I really don’t know. If he does, the best manager in baseball, Bochy, will coax it out of him. He would have been a disaster with the Dodgers.

The Brewers just swept the Red Sox. Wow. A walk off grand slam last night and another walk off hit this afternoon. There are still too many runners on third with less than 2 outs that are stranded, but they're getting the Ws now.

I’m writing this for the Plesant Valley home for the delusional because I believe the Pirates are almost playing .500 ball since a managerial change. I guess I’ll be penned up here until Nurse Ratchet reads a copy of the sports page….

Lots of good things this week for Toronto in St. Louis. Alejandro Kirk has really been on fire! The team is 5-1 so far on this 9-game road trip. Off-day tomorrow, then three games in Philly before going home. Pick up a few more W’s in Philly!

Meanwhile, back California, the Dodgers are struggling to play .500 ball. Padres beat the daylight s out of them last night.

Yep, that game was ugly with a 11 to 1 loss. But then the Dodgers ended up winning the three game series. 2 games to 1 game.

Well, "old man" Kershaw just pitched a full seven shut out innings, 5k's, 1 walk on only 81 pitches. Yep no doubt, a future Hall of Fame player.

That one caught me by surprise! But it makes sense. The Red Sox probably didn’t handle things very well with Devers. His response to the situation wasn’t great either. He’s owed a lot of money and perhaps wasn’t happy there anymore. Could be a really great move by the Giants if the change of scenery and situation helps Devers get back into a good rhythm.
