MLB 2025

I like the break in the season and the Home Run Derby but watching the All Star game itself? Nahhh
I think out of MLB, NHL, and NBA (I know nothing about NFL), baseball has the least worst All Star game. But that is setting the bar rather low 🤣 Anyways, if I had to watch an ASG from one of the major sports, I’d pick baseball every time. (Still might not watch tonight 😅😂)

Short SF Giants rant incoming - I knew Justin Verlander was pretty much washed up and from the very beginning I hated the signing. So far this season he is 0-8 with a 4.99 era. Absolutely TERRIBLE. Tonight's game reiterated my strong feeling of GET RID OF HIM. I don't care if he's just there for veteran guidance and mentoring, he's a broken link on this starting pitching roster. C'mon Buster, do the right thing already!!! :banghead:

Totally get it. At times I’ve felt that way about Kershaw who at least has redeemed himself since coming back this season. Hopefully, he’ll retire this year.

Verlander is one of the all time greats. The best of his era, first ballot HOF, all that. He has done everything a pitcher can do in the game. Let’s just say I’m glad the Giants are dealing with him and not the Dodgers.

Jays won 😎

If you haven’t seen it, you guys should look up the clip of the throw Acuna made in the Yanks/Braves game last night. A perfect throw from the RF corner to 3B. What an arm!
Great throw

For those watching the video:
Runner let up early, thinking there was no way
the 3b coach was trying to get that hustle and slide in. Pretty sure something was said...

Jays win again on Sunday. Sweep complete. They are hanging on to first place in the AL East and have the second best record in the AL overall! (Although Houston is very close behind them) The trade deadline is approaching. Assuming the right guys are available, I hope the Jays go all-in and make some meaningful additions. The bullpen needs help. Another starter would be very nice. And why not another good hitter? I don't think Santander is going to do anything for them this year, unfortunately. They've played well enough without him in recent weeks. But more power in the lineup, which he was supposed to provide, would be a good thing.

Spring Training Countdown

103 days, but who is counting? The Dodgers are not even home yet. That is fine. When I said it would be a couple of weeks, well, that may have been incorrect.

Time for the hot stove and pathological optimism. This is the year! You all know what I mean.
Hey, How about them Smoking Pirates losing 9 of their last 10 games including the whole series with the equally bad Chicago White Sucks
