The Cubs clinched a playoff spot for the first time since 2018 (not counting the short 2020 season)! The lineup is good, they just have to try and get Tucker healthy in time for the playoffs. Pitching is solid, too, especially now that Cade Horton is off to a great start. I wish they could snag the division--I hate how short the wild-card series are--but with a five-game deficit and just 10 games left, it's not happening.
Crud. Well, I can wash my socks now, so that is good. Perhaps. Gotta find an upside somewhere.

Phillies took two of three at the ravine and pretty much crushed Dodger hopes (if they manage to win the division) of a first round bye.
The Jays got out of Tampa with a 2-2 split. Could be better, could be worse. I'll take it! They're still leading the division and still have the best record in the AL. Here's hoping for W's all weekend long in KC

I'm hoping for a Tiger's pratfall along with a Mariners surge. That would put the Mariners into the second seed, which is a little mind boggling for a Mariners fan.

Raleigh should win MVP going away. He does everything Judge does, plus plays the youngest position on the field (and does it well). Most "starting catchers" don't start more than 110-115 games per year.

Yep, last night's game was a waste of time..! At least the Yankees and Tigers lost too.
Dodgers will at least split this series with the Giants after winning Kershaw’s last home regular season start in his career. He got a ton of love last night. Deservedly so. We’ll see how things shake out this coming week. They’ll likely play the hated Padres in the first round. That’ll no doubt be a wild series.
I need to really and truly shut up and not watch now. I am not believing this is real. It could still unravel
Mariners, Jays, Tigers in the series. If the Dodgers make it, I’ll of course be for them. Otherwise, may the best team win. I’ll be conflicted if the Dodgers fail to make it. I like the Brewers and Cubs too. We’ll see.
So the good news for us Dodgers fans is that they beat the Giants again tonight.
But the bad news is that after the swelling went down in Smith’s right throwing hand, films revealed a fracture. He is shut down for the remainder of the regular season. His playoff status is up in the air. Smith has had a wonderful year at the plate and has become a big threat to potential bass stealers. Not good at all.

This has been the most topsy turvy I can remember. I don't think a single team has stayed strong all season. Dodgers, Tigers, Mets, Yankees, Cubs, Brewers, etc. have all had significant losing streaks.
Jays lose again 
Tigers and Astros lose too, but Yanks, Sox, M’s all win. And the Guardians are becoming a problem too.
Really need to turn it around and finish the season strong boys. OK
