Tigers and Astros lose too, but Yanks, Sox, Mās all win. And the Guardians are becoming a problem too.

Been a fun season with the Mās and Tigers in the hunt. And the Sox and Cubs as well. Itās good for the game.

Yep. Dodgers lost; I guess a four game sweep of the Giants was too much to ask. Pads won.
And those pesky Snakes still have a shot at a wild card birth. Theyāre two games above 500. Somehow it just doesnāt seem right.

The Jays have punched their ticket to the postseason - nice! - but the work is not done yet. Today is an off-day so I hope the team had some fun celebrating last night. They can't ease up now though. The Yanks are only two games back and have been playing well lately. It would be an awful end to the regular season if Toronto tumbles down into the WC bracket. If the Jays win the division then that should very likely secure them a bye. I don't think the winner of the AL Central has much hope for one of the two byes. Right now it's Toronto and Seattle in the top two spots

Toronto -- all at home, which is nice
- 3 vs. Boston
- 3 vs. Tampa
NYY -- also finishing their season at home
- 3 vs. Chicago White Sox
- 3 vs. Baltimore
Boston -- one road series and then back home to wrap things up
- 3 @ Toronto
- 3 vs. Detroit
The Yanks have a pretty soft finish to the season. They could conceivably go 6-0 against Chicago and Baltimore and finish the season with 94 wins. In that case, I think Toronto would need to win 4 of their remaining 6 games to ensure they win the division. I'm quite sure they have the tie-breaker against NYY. Boston is much more of a long shot to win the division as they would have to win basically all their games and both Toronto and NYY would need to lose a bunch. It helps for Boston that 3 of 6 games are against Toronto. Gotta figure they'll be trying extra hard to win those three games in Toronto. If Toronto's series vs. Boston doesn't go well, then the final three games against Tampa are going to be incredibly stressful

Seattle's next three are against the Rockies. That's as close to a bye as you get in the major league. Then three against the Dodgers. That won't be a bye. If they don't have things sewn up by the Dodgers series, things get a little dicier. Not much, since they clinch the playoffs with a win and a Yankee's win. Their magic number for the division is only three for now, which could happen as early as Wednesday. I sure won't count on that.
Only problem is that Houston has three against the As and three against the Angels. Houston is on the road, unlike the Mariners, so that's good. The Angels are actually playing decent baseball lately, too.
For now, they are ahead of the Tigers for one of the two top seeds. Detroit plays Cleveland and Boston both away. They do not have an easy schedule ahead of them like the Yankees do.

The Mās had better take care of business in this series. This is the worldās most obvious trap series. If Seattle underestimates Colorado even the tiniest bit, it could end poorly. Play like this is the World Series.
And the Tigers. This Detroit/Cleveland series is massive for both teams.
They have a history of screwing up series like this. They rose to the occasion in Houston. I hope they don't sink to the occasion at home. The good news is that they seem to play a whole lot better at home than on the road this season. The bad news is that they are the Mariners. I am predicting the Dodgers take 2 out of three in Seattle. Of course, I am somewhat biased as a Dodgers fan.
I want to see how things go for both teams the next few before making a prediction. But yeah Stewie, Go Dodgers!
The Mariners will rise to that occasion. I expect them to screw up the Rockies series and then sweep the Dodgers. It would be a Mariners thing to do.
What I really want to have happen is for the Yankees to win today (the last game they win this season - I hate the Yankees) and for the Mariners to win today. Then they are in the playoffs for sure. Then I want the Astros to lose today and the Mariners to win tomorrow. Then the Mariners win the west. Then all the Mariners have to do is win one more and they are the second seed. After that, the Dodgers can win all the games they want to win.
And I want to see Raleigh hit a couple more home runs. I don't care if he gets more than 60 as long as he gets 60 in the regular season. Then he can hit a bunch more in the playoffs and World Series. He will hit a few in the World Series. You read it here first. He will be the World Series MVP. It has to happen after the Home Run Derby championship, the tear he has been on all season, and playing catcher almost every day all season. It would only be fitting for that to happen.
And the RAYS, who for ~6 weeks had the best record in MLB, can't find their arses with both hands and a GPS.
The Mariners almost blew it against the Rockies. Almost. But the Rockies made sure they didn't. And Josh Naylor is turning out to be one of the best deadline trades they ever made. I hope they sign him long-term.
I was watching it at the bar (sound off) when the Cockies did a pitching change with 2 outs and ducks on the pond. Got distracted by some ladies I was talking with and missed the game winner. Excellent comeback. My beleaguered Cards scored six unanswered to come back and beat the Gnats, so their post-seasons hopes remain alive, but on life support.
