MLB 2025

From a comment on the FARK thread:

Ohtani Records Tonight:

First player in MLB history to hit two-plus homers as a pitcher in a postseason game
First MLB player ever with more homers hiat (3) than hits allowed (2) in a postseason pitching start
First player to hit a leadoff homer as a pitcher (regular season or postseason).
First player in MLB history, in either the regular season or postseason, with a three-homer game as a batter and 10 strikeouts as a pitcher.

Tough game for the Jays last night. They had some opportunities to do damage earlier in the game that they couldn’t cash in on. One or two knocks with RISP and the score perhaps isn’t so tight late in the game. Oh well, that’s baseball. I was not surprised to see the M’s start intentionally walking Vladdy. Worked well enough for them last night. I wish Schneider had managed the pitching changes differently, but that’s more of a hindsight thing.

Here’s hoping for a win on Sunday to force Game #7! Let’s go Blue Jays!

That may have been the greatest single game performance in baseball history. They couldn't have hit his breaking ball with a tennis racket, and I think his second home run may still be traveling.
Yep, one of the few times in Dodger history the ball was hit out of the stadium. Even his teammates could no believe what they saw.

Stupid Jays!
As a Jays fan, I am getting a little annoyed with their manager over-thinking things, especially pitching.
The last time the Jays were in the playoffs, he took Barrios out in the fourth because analytics and they got trounced! Last night, he put in Little, who hasn't pitched well in months, in the important part of the game and once again, they got pounded.
It was a mockery of a travesty!
I can't help but think that when all this is said and done, it may cost Schindes his job.
Here's to hoping that Springer can come back tomorrow and Monday after getting hit in the knee by a fastball.
A little disappointed in the Mariner fans screaming in delight when a player was obviously in severe pain.
I know, that's baseball....
