Those will work great. Note that the 70s Stingrays used an A25K pot for volume. Won’t change the sound at all though. To be honest, there’s a reason they switched to the B25Ks. Liner tapers for volume are better IMHO.
Given that I can't seem to find any LM4250s on reputable US websites, does anyone have a good source for them? There are plenty on eBay from Chinese sellers with high reputation, but that doesn't mean they aren't counterfeit. I suppose I'm even okay with counterfeit as long as they're exact copies and not relabeled.
Yes, I do. See post #62 in this thread. I buy from OnlineComponents.com. The NJM4250D has highly similar characteristics including low current usage so that battery life can be measured in years, rather than hours or days and has no affect on altering the sound. The only downside is that you have to buy a minimum of 50, which I did. If you want, I can sell you one for about $7, which is the cost of postage. Entirely up to you.
And there are other high quality alternatives. I went for the LT1097 on my boards, they were available at Mouser when I bought the rest of the components. I believe $9 a piece. They aren't the original ones and I haven't had the chance to A/B (and I doubt I'd hear the difference, which isn't saying much) but they have been great.

I really need some help. I just bought two of the new entry level SBMM Ray2s which are passive. In order to save money, they didn't use a control plate, but instead mounted the two passive pots through the top of the body, requiring the use of longer threads. I managed to find The B25K and C1M pots with longer threaded shafts (GuitarMadness on eBay - great people, very responsive) but for the life of me, I cannot find an A100K pot with a 1/2" or (better) 3/4" threaded shaft. Any suggestions (I hope)?

If you are in a pinch you can always order custom ones from Omeg in the UK. IIRC 10 units was the minimum order quantity the last time I used them.

Hey Bud! Is a 20mm shaft what you're looking for? Mouser has 20mm A100K Alpha pots. They're a bit expensive but they have almost 1000 in stock.

Close but no cigar. Thanks for your suggestion, but Mouser was the first place I tried. The knurled threads have to be 1/2" minimum to 3/4" at the most. The nut has to screw onto the knurled portion after it passes through the body, so it's not just shaft length (24mm to be exact is what I need) but also how "tall" the knurled portion is. I appreciate your taking the time to help.

Turnaround has generally been about a month for the orders I've done with them, FWIW. I like the high rotation torque option, I think it's less than a buck extra.
I dropped them an email with my requirements. Now we wait.... Thanks again for the suggestion.
Were you ever able to find a good supplier? At some point I'm going to buy a Ray2 to mod or make some sort of FrankenRay and it'd be good to have a source. Thanks.

Actually, I ended up buying a bunch of Aliexpress and they are top notch, work great. So, I bought two Ray2s, one orange, one blue/green and I swapped necks because I think the dark neck looks better on the orange bass. Then I installed a GFS MM Pro pickup in each one, and my period-correct preamp. Sounds great, but I cannot find a single buyer even selling the things at my cost, just under $300. What to do, what to do?
Yeah I'm surprised you haven't sold those. I saw your listings and you did a great job. I think people are just holding back on discretionary spending right now.
Those GFS pickups keep getting recommended. I ought to buy one sometime and try it out. Do you happen to remember which listings you got those pots from? There's so much junk on AliExpress.
