Modulus Basses

Bought a used Q5 last year. Paid 30% retail price for it and it's the best bass I've ever played. Love it to bits.
Sounds super clear and responsive with the EMG pups and preamp and it's as stable as a rock.

Yes I agree I've been with the company since 97 and it is my main go to bass huge sound beautifully crafted I have maple over the Having a wood, I had the EMGs pulled out and put bartolini pickups in and a bartolini preamp I'm using sr2000 light gauge strings .check this clip out put on your headphones or your big speakers enjoy

I owned a Q4 which was almost too good. I had a Genesis 5 string that was probably the best sounding bass I ever had but the neck was too wide for me. I currently have a Genesis Jazz bass and I'd love to find a 4 string Genesis.

Yeah I get it some players have a problem with the spacing and some love the spacing. If you're doing a lot of double thumping and tapping the extra space may be great for you....as far as finding a 4 string genesis you will definitely have to check around because everyone I know with one are holding on to them like a million dollar lottery ticket lol lol

And now people exhaust the Bartolini catalog looking for that sound and can't get it...such a shame :banghead:
Absolutely right the Tone from these pickups are Ridiculous i mean no matter the situation. If youre slapping Or finger Style bottom in Mind and top end right there crisp and clean

Listen to how clean and punchy this bass sounds
Put on your headphones or big speakers

Preaching to the choir man. I was on the Tobias side of the boutique bass world, but still the same Bartolini T wind pickups. Not sure what voodoo Bill worked with those pickups, but nothing Bartolini has made since touches them. I learned the hard way after dropping the cash on my MTD 535 and not being able to get that kind of vibe out of it with anything Bartolini currently offers :bawl:

I love my Q5, 20th anniversary. My only complaint, which isn't really a complaint, is the 35" scale. All my other basses are 34" which is a little more comfortable for me. For some songs, I put the Q5 down.
