Q-5, two Q-6 and a VJ four. Love them all. The five is in my avatar. Not into Five and Sixes much these days and Q-4 models are pretty rare. Using a G&L L1000 now and that MFD pick-up is about the only thing that comes close to the Modulus for clarity and punch. I love those composite necks! Wish I could find a good used Q-4!

I owned a Q5, a VJ and a P-Bass with a mid-80s Bassstar neck in Jazz dimensions.

I don't own any of them today...but if I had to choose to have one back in the quiver, it would definitely be the P = the neck felt great even though the fretboard and neck were working their way apart.

I had an amazing VJ Deluxe that I should've never sold on here…I had done some great modifications to it. That said, I do prefer the warmer tone of wood necks…but Modulus basses are excellent.

Yes my man you definitely should have kept your genesis.. phenomenal sounding bass and my Q5 I'm cool with the spacing because I do a lot of double thumbing and tapping I need the space in between the strings to do that flawlessly..

What is the spacing at the bridge and the nut width of the five stringers?
Also, are all Modulus 5's created equally? As in, the neck specs and spacing?
I'm intrigued by these!

I have a '99 Genesis. A bit heavier than I'd like but it's a nice sounding bass.

The majority of the basses are cut the same as far as neck length and spacing now you can also have the bass custom made specifically for you that's the good thing with upper ended basses they're not off an assembly line they are made by hand so that gives you the flexibility to have that bass anyway you want

I have a Q5, FU5, FU4 (MM/J), and FU4 (MM). Needless to say, I'm a huge Modulus fan.

I currently own a VJ. I have also owned another VJ and a quantum 5. The VJ's sound awesome to me. I was not as excited about the quantum so I sold it

Well... based on my understanding about how Modulus manufactures their carbon fiber necks, that's not entirely true: There are limits to how radically different from "standard" dimensions a neck can be, because while the carbon fiber prepreg material is indeed laid up by hand, it's laid up in a mold that has fixed dimensions. And it's not cost effective to have an infinite number of spare molds of different dimensions on hand Just In Case...so if a client's wish list for ideal neck width/depth/scale length/radius/etc. can't be easily accomplished through adding inserts to their standard molds, I don't think Modulus will do a complete one-off neck shape.
