Modulus Mob

Today's news just confirms the suspicions of the past several months. I'm guessing that the Modulus ownership had been seeking out investors or financing in an effort to get out of their debt hole, but most likely exhausted all of their options. I would think that Chapter 11 & Chapter 13, which are reorganization plans, were not an option in the bankruptcy filing.

I have some fond memories of my Sweetspot 6 string. And for years I've wanted to get a VJ4 of my own. Buying a new one would have been great, but that's no longer going to be an option. Hopefully I can get a hold of one on the secondary market.

But to be fair, a $129 SX would have done the same thing and only you would have known the difference :)

You might think so, but actually I got a lot of comments. Usually I play a '67 Starfire so people noticed. Of course, if we had been playing more straight ahead rock or country or some such, then yeah, it's the old joke:

Q: How many bass players does it take to change a light bulb?
A: No one knows. No one ever noticed.

And can you get a 6 string through body SX for $129?

I am visiting Orlando, Florida for the holidays and I ventured into the local Guitar Center. Asked if they had any Modulus basses and the brought me into the bass room and handed me a Fender Dimension!! They then hopped on theinternet to find out what a Modulus was. I was completely shocked and stunned.

oops,my bad, well 2 pockets of change:hiding: As a F Bass player I read an interesting article how George had lost 50% of his business a couple of years ago during the bad economic times and almost folded. He hung in there and has stated that things are really starting to improve now. But I guess it's just to late for Modulus. Very sad. Jim
