I found one in New York. If you'd like I can pass along the info to ypu
That's the strings I've considered to try.DR Lo Riders complement the naturally bright neck IMO.
The neck pocket should be big enough. The only problem is that the fender Jazz bass only has 20 frets. The Modulus has 22, which means a longer neck. So my answer is: No I don't THINK that it will work out. But you can always try ;-)Does anyone have experience bolting a Modulus neck onto a non-Modulus body? I've got a 2001 Flea 5 MM, would love to try that neck on a JJ configured body (and a lighter body). I'm wondering about fit / model and what neck pocket modification may be needed. I searched but didn't find much. Thanks.
But does the increased tension provide more punch?As far as strings go, used to be EB Cobalts, way too bright and grew tired of the increased tension. I have switched to balanced sets from Kalium Strings (Circle K) - just bright enough, but bring the warmth as well.
@Hidesert - very nice Q4!
Me too. Although I do like the DR strings. I find that the brightness of my Modulus basses is fairly strong in the low riders contain that somewhat.I use D'Addario Xl-170-5's Extra Long (for the 35" scale). Used them for years and years. I really like them. Probably too lazy to try anything else though too.. Just being honest.

Does more tension add more punch into the sound, if I off course strike the strings hard? And does the lo-riders have equally amount of tension as the Hi-beams?
