Not mine, but there's a Quantum 4 on the bay- no truss rod but a factory tinted neck...
Just wanted to chime back in. A few saddle adjustments and my rattle is gone. I bet the thing was 2 degrees off being level, but that's all it took. Solid as a rock now.
Whew![]()
You did, and I did! Thanks for the heads up.Didn't I say to check this?
Glad it's all better now!
Hey Mobsters! I'm doing a complete cleaning and setup of my '91 Q5 (EMGs) and was wondering if anyone might have information they can share regarding factory pickup height settings? I'm interested in the dip switch settings on the preamp too but that's not as important at the moment. I had the factory info years ago but can't seem to find it now that I actually need it.Any help is appreciated!

It was so close to being level that I couldn't tell with my eyes the first time. The second time, I just adjusted one saddle screw an 1/8th of a turn while doing the opposite to the other to keep the height where I like it.
About 3 times repeated (not even half a turn) and she became silent.... er..... loud and full!!
Thanks Black Bart. Yeah I was just looking for recommended settings as a starting point. Information appreciated!
