Modulus Mob

Yes sir, this topic came up recently. I had a stripped balance knob on my 2004 Q5 and Modulus told me to go through All Parts (a couple years ago) and it is perfect. I even bought another one as a back up. It was a perfect match for me, I presume it would be the same for you.

Thanks for the info, In my haste I ordered these volume\balance knobs instead of the ones with rounded edges. I guess they will match the EQ knobs a little better.

They are an experienced tech manufacturing team who are the authority on manufacturing those necks.

There is a real reason why those necks are a pain in the ass to make, and if there was an easy solution the company would have adopted that practice a generation ago.

I rearranged my knobs so that the set screw is what I used for position. All the the EQ set screws face my eyes dead on when flat, and the balance screw points directly sideways at the pickups when centered, so I can always tell where I'm at, at a quick glance, even when my ears adjust. My volume pot is always on full, and the set screw points straight up the bass towards the headstock.

This matches my knobs on my SR505 as well, so I never have to think. I'll get a pic.

I pulled out the Modulus today and wiped some dust off the case.....::gasp::

Plays great. It plays so different from any other bass I have or have had.

Travis, details on Christmas? Also, send me your PayPal...I am just going to start sending you $$ until you ship me the 5er. ;-)
