Modulus Mob

a question for "the Modulus mob"

I've had 2 Flea basses. My first one was a black one, and I could have sworn that it had an incredibly slim neck. And then I got another one about a year ago, and the neck on it was quite chunky front to back. I am just wondering if anyone else noticed a change in the shape of the Flea necks over the years, or am i just crazy? I can't remember what year each one was for the life of me...but I think one was maybe a bit older.

I'm not sure when Modulus changes their neck "shapes", but I know they have over the years.

The one on my current Q5, which is an 07, and the 05 Q5 fretless I had, had VERY different necks than the 3 90's models I had.

The 1994 Q5 fretted had a wider, thinner neck, whereas the 97 Q5 fretted I had was more tapered and slim, and much faster. The 96 Q5 fretless I had had a similar neck to the 1994 Q5, but it wasn't the same.

The 1997 Q5 fretted was my fave, by far. I was gonna try to get it back, but I think it was sold off of Talkbass, unfortunately.

I don't know much about them, but this is a Modulus Bassstar 5. Anyone know anything about it? Anything at all...
