I'm still adjusting the action to my liking. It's a bit stiffer feeling than my turbo, as far as fretting goes. Might be the truss rod neck or the bridge not being a 2tek. But the neck feels very similar to the non truss neck, as far as shape and radius. Maybe it just feels like a new bass. Needs to be worn in. It does feel like it was bought new yesterday.

The sound is quite fat and sparkly, as dual coils are known for. Not sure if I'm a fan of DCs in general, I'm more fond of more aggressive pickups, I like more snarl and bark to be possible, so I'll probably do some pickup rolling to see what strikes my fancy. I do love the sound of the nordy big splits I put in my turbo, they seem to be perfect for that bass. I will put them in the new bass to see how they are. I also got a custom set of pickups from boutique winder, Big T. The neck's a sidewinder (based on the lane poor humbucker pickups) and the bridge is a dual coil. They are made as a set so they're supposed to sound good together.

Anyway overall this bass is totally boner worthy.

My other case I picked up for one of my Q5's sounds about in the same condition. I really don't travel with the bad cases, I store them in there. I have a Q5 that I bought that currently does not have a case and it is sitting in a stand. I prefer all my basses to have cases...

When I get the soft case I will let you know if you are interested in making me an offer.

Iriegnome, are you partial to the orange crush color on mine or or something? what is it about mine that you find so drooly? ....not that i don't understand how sexy it is:smug:. turbos are around from time to time, but not usually cheap, like you'd want. and for some reason i think i mostly see them in 6 strings. dunno that i've ever seen a turbo 5 for sale.

It is quite a rarity. That makes it really cool. That is what I like about it. The color and top are really unique as well. My Silverburst Q5 was originally a SS, but the previous owner pulled out the center pickup and put in 2. The rear pickup is in the Turbo SS Position. I could always just pull the neck pickup and put it into the center SS hole that is already there. However, I would prefer an original one

Lovely bass Ethan117! I've still never tried a flea bass/FU, I'm still really curious to try their necks. I just only ever see them online, never in person. Don't know that I'd really care to own one, cause I do prefer the sound of actual MM's but everyone hails their necks as one of the most comfortable.
