Ok this weird

NOT a 2001 for sure. (Prob a 91)

No TBX stripe in the back
it's probably a one-off from 'modulus guitars'. the description mentions that they didn't want to make two of these. wouldn't blame them.

the graphite on the back of the body is being obscured by the lacewood laminate on the back.

there are a few stories of endorsers (gordon, lesh, etc.) who have one-off's made especially for them. the rest of us rabble must make do with 'off-the-rack". :wacky:

i just meant weird that I havent seen one without the stripe on the back.

Not sure if phil lesh's mods had the stripe on the back. I know the large body one was a neck through but no front stripe.

I also read somewhere that basically all TBX basses were sorta "custom orders" which is why there are less than 200 in existence
