So I'm going to change my Gotohs to Hipshot USA ultralites. It's more of a cosmetic difference, as the gotohs are res-o-lites, which if I took a better picture, you would be able to see.
Sweet man. I'd love to see how they look on a Quantum. Snap pics when it's done!

I haven't decided yet, but as of now, no. Might hang on to them in case I get a 6.
Mostly just for the look (which no one but me will notice). I think the gotohs might actually be a tad lighter, but this is a light bass, so a few ounces won't kill me.

i'm a bit befuddled. i don't remember gould-era moduli having an option of a wooden fingerboard or a matching peghead. thoughts? maybe a replacement neck when the original went belly-up? still wouldn't explain the serial #.

Hey fellas, question. What is your preferred strings (Brand, gauge, nickel?) for your Modulus VJ 4 strings? I use DR's and D'ads for my 2 Quantum 5 strings basses (Nickels) but wanted to see what the general consensus is, if there is one. Thanks.
