yeah, the top grabbed my attention immediately. don't really see many quantums with that particular knob layout. i've seen some of geoff's creations with that knob layout from about 10 years ago. this bass is a 2012.Yes, that is what it looks like to me. I almost didn’t notice the 5 knobs, that top is so nice...
it is! it's a local craigslist listing. it's very nice but am leaving my piggy bank intact for now. that is, unless you decided to release 'mathilda' onto the open market! That is a work of art!!

"Sweet Spot" refers to the string area distance from the bridge wherehey guys whats the difference in tone between a modulus q5 with two pickups and a q5 with one sweet spot pickup?
Looks like Bubinga to me also, an exceptional piece.
I would like to find a picture history of all of the ABM bridge models because I've seen older models with intonation screws and some of the Peavey Millenniums and Cirrus' had ABM's with intonation too. The newest version does have them. Although I'm one of the people who've found them easy to adjust without the extra screws. Need to update my post...I'm pretty sure the bridges on the Peavey basses that have adjustable intonation are HipshotThe ABM bridges are lacking intonation screws, which is why I don’t care for them.
interesting... when i contacted the seller thru their c-list ad, they sent a follow up communique that the bass was going overseas tonight (wednesday) if it didn't sell. sales 'ploy' perhaps but just wanted to put this out there if someone was interested.
not defending the seller's listing (or knowledge) of the fretboard, but did pre-bankruptcy modulus ever use an ebony board? or was it ever offered as an option?“Ebony fingerboard” really?!?!

i definitely have egg on my face since i've recently goofed in that arena.
a bass of mine (gould ggi5/graphite neck) has a fretboard which i assumed was phenolic. posited a question to geoff one day (fretboard had cracks) and he basically let me know i had an ebony board. the ebony board is jet black with no colors/striations i could see that would make me assume otherwise.
