Modulus Mob

guys about to buy this bass and noticed its got a chip on the back of neck. Is that fixable? Does it affect playibility at all? Can i just spot fill it so its smooth?
here's a direct quote from a luthier that's worked on a half-dozen projects of mine:

"The divots can be filled. I can use either epoxy or crazy glue to fill them. The crazy glue is completely clear but it will shrink over time and later on you may feel a slight indentation because of that. The epoxy will not shrink but it has a slight yellow cast to it and the color won't match."

I did, didnt see anything about playability

Being as there was some disagreement as to the outcome of using superglue and sanding,
the answer to your question is: "shouldn't be any problem if it's done correctly; but due to
the nature of the peeling (not a ding) of the polyester, it's likely most of, if not all the back
of the neck will in time flake off. If what you have now doesn't affect the playability then
that same thing happening over the entire neck won't either."
Think someone used the term "Mojo". The kind you can feel as you're playing.

IMO best to have a competent luthier or @GeoffGould remove the finish off the back of the neck
and/ or re do the finish. Unfortunately the same finish extends to the phenolic fretboard,
headstock and heel and in removing it from the headstock & base of the fretboard,
you lose both logos and serial#.

My daily driver is now a MMSR5 HP.

<Edit> Scroll down to post from @fishstix and contact Jerry Dorsch.
He may have come up w a better solution since we last talked. You
could always buy a Status neck and start a new thread as a "Statulus" owner.
Modulus graphite neck issue....

I’d go with the brown one myself. I’m a fan of darker woods, so that one looks really nice to me.

The fact that it has an adjustment rod is also a plus to me.

EDIT: I was wrong. The ad says Chechen, not Cocobolo.

"Down Brownie". Anybody know what that wood is?
I prefer black hardware but I'd feel safer otherwise.

I had my Q6 neck repaired for the same reason by Mr. Dorsch (as mentioned above) many years ago now and it’s still PERFECT. FWIW. I’m not sure what methods he used but I can’t tell it was ever refinished.

Well I did it. I bought this: SOLD - Modulus Quantum Q5

I can be part of the mob now yes? can anyone tell me what kind of bridge it is? and what size the tuners are? I might swap them out for dark black ones!

Congrats I made a play for it but didn’t work out. Enjoy it!
