So does anyone with a modulus with a emg and bqc have an ebs bass iq. I can't get it to play nice unless I have the threshold all the way up and the attack all the way down. Anyone else have similar issues with envelope filters

I don’t remember having issues with an envelope filter, but the emg pre is hotter than my other basses. Do you have the volume knob cranked? Any boost to the eq? Maybe I’ll check mine tomorrow, although I have a 3Leaf Proton (and the source audio c4), so maybe not the same thing...

Not just with envelope filters per se; my Modulus with the EMG soapbars and BQC has a conspicuously hotter output than any of my other basses (including my Modulus with EMG J pickups and ACG preamp) and so when I use that BQC-equipped bass with my pedalboards I need to back the volume control down from fully CW or else lots of of my stompboxes misbehave.

Thanks for that link! I've seen that one on ebay. I think it's a little overpriced and also has soap bars instead of jazz pickups (which I would prefer).

FWIW, those are P2 shaped single coil Barts. Definitely a little pricey, no doubt.

As to improve my gear knowledge I was trying to learn about Modulus Bass, this one is listed in my country but it does not seem to be a current pick up set up, would you know wether it's legit to begin with?

The knob placement is unusual. I’d also like to see the back of the body. It looks like it might be a Q5 SPX w/MBCC/MBDE pickups.

In what looks like excellent condition I'd try to get more. Looks like it was well taken care of.
