It’s all a blur back thenI actually asked Geoff but since he left Modulus in 1995 & my instrument was built in 1997 - he couldn't say for sure.

I'm GASSING for a modulus q5 or q6. I currently have a Lakeland 5502, which I love, but Gas is a real thing. I wonder, for those who have experience with both, how do the necks compare? Thickness, playability, comfort, etc, ?
Thanks so much. I love those slim necks. The pedulla rapture was one of my favorite necks ever. Hopefully I can come into a modulus soon!I own a Lakland 55-02D, a Modulus Quantum-6 SPX, and a Modulus Quantum-6 TBX. All three have very different widths, although the string spacing on the TBX seems fairly close to the 55-02D so the difference is mostly due to 5- versus 6-strings. Thickness-wise both Modulus necks feel slimmer front-to-back; I guess you would call them a very shallow C or D profile? Whereas the Lakland has that asymmetrical shape that is quite comfortable, but difficult to characterize in terms of alpha-geometric archetypes
They're all exceedingly "playable".
You might want to ask this guyHas anyone had a Modulus neck with truss rod become warped (too much relief) and decided to heat treat it? If so, what was the technique used and the outcome? Thanks!
Sorry, if this is a repeat, but here’s a clip of Fernando Saunders, playing the identical bass, with different pick ups, on the Grammys:This may very well be my most favorite Modulus I have! Such fun to play this beautiful bass

It’s the only blue fretless 5-string Modulus I’m aware of. Is there a database of Guitar Player covers?
