Modulus Mob

Hello my Modulus brothers and sisters!! I wanted to inform the group that I am putting up the first couple of my Modulus instruments. A Flight 4SP bass and a Flight 6SP guitar. I just do not play them and they are so rare and unusual that I can't keep them. Better pic's to follow soon. But please, I would much rather them each go to someone here than anywhere else.

Hey all, I have 2003 Modulus Q5 and I'm wondering what the fret material is. I'm thinking of trying stainless steel strings but I'm worried that it might damage the frets. If the frets are stainless steel then I guess I have nothing to worry about, but if they're nickel I guess they would wear faster over time.

I have no idea what the frets on my Modulus basses are made of, but I've been using stainless steel roundwound strings on both of them for as long as I've owned them -- which, in one case, is 35 years -- and I've never had to refret them due to string wear damage. It's a non-issue.

Modulus of that time did not use SS frets.

Got a favor to ask the Mob - could someone with a Flea/FU bass that has the SD pickup and the Bartolini NTBT preamp snap some photos of how they’re wired together?

I worked with Tony at Planet Bass and was able to purchase a NOS SD pickup for my FU4 to replace the Bartolini pickup. Seymour Duncan told me they no longer produce the pickup for Modulus or even make them as custom orders. I figured now was as good a time as ever to pick one up.
