Money at 13

My friend is 13 and has pretty lousy stuff. He's looking to upgrade, but he doesn't want to just mooch off his parents' hard-earned money, so he's looking to find a way at 13 to raise some money, but he's having trouble coming up with ideas. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I made great money starting at 12 by having a paper route and mowing lawns in the summers and shoveling driveways and sidewalks in the winter. I saved a bundle and still always had money for just about anything I wanted.

I did work while I was in college but most of what I spent those four years came from money I made and put away on those jobs in the years before.

Odd jobs. At that age I made money doing yard work for neighbors. I also did computer work (this was back in the late 80s, so there are a LOT more computers out there now).

I also bought stuff cheap, fixed it up if necessary, and sold for a profit (usually).

Tell your friend that if his best money-making idea is having his friend (i.e. you ;) ) solicit ideas on an internet message board, then his money-making potential is probably extremely low anyways and he should just make do with his lousy stuff...after all, some people don't even have any stuff. At least he has "lousy stuff"!
