Monolith MAGMA Bass Preamp

Aaron is the Sunn Collector as all the Beta's they had were his. Definitely nice compact good sounding workhorses to tour with.

Those Red Fang dudes are all solid,...we had a spot for them to crash (our rehearsal space) so they wouldn't have to sleep in the van/a motel.

Definitely color me interested in the MAGMA,....just gotta go get me a job (has to wait till middle August,....last thing I want to do is go to work then ask for a week off a month later).

Those guys are all gold man. And thanks for the interest! Let me know when you would like to order!

That's more then I was expecting but still competitive with a lot the mass produced stuff out there. Thanks,...may be while before I can afford it,....but it's defnitely on my radar when I go to upgrade my Pre and Poweramp.

The beauty is, you know who made it and i am available to talk anytime if there are problems or concerns. Pricing is never easy no matter how you cut it. It was a TON of work and thats the best we can do.

Oh trust me,....I'll be getting my own business (see disclosure,...look for Effects Junkie Pedals on Facebook) in the not too distant future and managing costs and growth is going to be a challenge for sure,....but I'm definitely more interested in supporting small (and somewhat local) businesses putting food on their tables then shipping my cash off to a guy on a yacht.

As it were I need a lighter and more modern poweramp that will crank the same power and still drop down to 2ohms per channel (currently running a blue script Ampeg SVP-1500) and a while I'm somewhat satisfied with the old Yamaha PB-1 Pre,...I'd love something more musical sounding. But that'll have to wait.

;)

You guys got a good thing going,....I'd love to be playing ya'lls cabs as well.

So, I really love this sound.

I was wanting to get an Ampeg BSP-SVT or a Pearce to handle the dirt area of my rig, but this as peaked my interest.

Here is the thing though- I want to run this parallel to my Demeter, which will handle the ultra clean stuff. But I want to then blend the two before running it into the Bag End ELF unit. Is there anything that would do this. other than running it on two completely separate amp set up?

Oh, and DRIVE: 10 BASS: 5 MID: 3 TREBLE: 5 LEVEL: 3 MASTER: 2 is the definite winner.

Killer! Thanks! and let me think on this for you. :hmm:

Wow, that's really cool. When I saw them last summer he was using a GK head and a 15, and It sounded fantastic, but I bet the inclusion of this pre will sound even better.

Yeah, this will fall in nicely with the Melvins and Big Business tone. Its a good road test being they tour so much these days.

Ah that beta bass crunch is coming through really well in these clips. I love my beta bass but it does sound a little weak sometimes. This might be a magical preamp....but it sure will hurt the wallet.

At the end of the day, the price isnt so bad. You know who made it, we are always available for questions concerns and issues if they may arise. This was a ton of work but worth every second of it. There are improvements to the circuit to extend its life. Either way, I can explain all day but we believe this unit will sell itself.
