I am looking for musicians to start a band with. what kind of instrumentalists am i looking for, you may ask.

I am looking for a:

Bassist (preferably female, although still e-mail if your a dude.and i wouldnt call it sexist. nor am i sexist for the record.)

Lead/Rhythym Guitarist (male or female)

note that you have to be able to sing if you are a bassist or a guitarist. please e-mail me still though if you cant.

do you also play piano? BONUS! (although in my mind, keys wouldnt come up as much. possibly also turntables, but only if you play it on the side, not as a main thing.)

oh and take note of this! I am a beginnner/intermidate guitaist myself, so i would be looking for players who are also i that general area. and it would also be good if you ulive in thornhill, because ideally, the other members would go to the drummers house because i doubt he/she is carrying all that equipment.

so to reiterate, if you dont live near thornhill, thats cool. BUT THE DRUMMER NEEDS TO BE NEAR TO ALL MEMBERS. for that reason, i will be looking at drummers last. the age group i am also looking for is ideally 15 to 17, although if you are 14 or 18, you can still e-mail me, but i will have to really consider you. taking that into note, i am also around that general age, so im not a pedephile :P

and one final thing that should be noted is that because of the guitar playing skill i am looking for, punk and classic rock and metal genre is what i am looking for, so you better i like the 70's and 80's. none of that john mayer bullcrap.

if you are interested, please reply to me with your name, age, a full list of instruments you play, ALL your favorite bands, and where you generally live. i say all of your fav bands because i dont want heavy musical contrasts and conflicts, so if your uilty pleasure is plain white tee's but you love van halen, i can live with it.

if you have trouble with a list, i suggest looking at your list of songs on you mp3 player and looking at the ones you really listen to.

if i consider you for a bandmate, i will e-mail you with following instructions, and if you have any questions, please dont hesitate to ask me in an e-mail.

thank you.

ABSOLUTELY NO EMOS. NO EXCEPTIONS.

oh, and i really hate to say this and discriminate, but i'd rather have jewish members. not saying that if your not jewish, dont e-mail me. it's just that, and i dont know about other religions, it would be easier to work around events on high holidays and friday nights. so i really would prefer it if you were jewish. but again, if you are not, then please still e-mail me. its not like i am racist or anything far from it. and i am not looking to start a religious band, just so you know.

and just so you have an idea of my taste in music

Shomer Shavis! I don't turn on the lights, i don't drive, i don't use the oven, i don't GET driven, and i certainly don't f**king jam on shomer shavis!

This guy cracks me up...

I want someone who doesn't suck at at playing, but still email me if you suck cause I might not find someone who doesn't, in which case I'll have to take what I can get.

My favorite part is when he expands his age range by 2 years from 15-17 to 14-18 and acts like there is a difference.

This one is from today. What's a "420" ?

Starting Wings/Red Hot Chili Peppers Tribute Band (Retardville)

I can play most of Linda's keyboard lines and most of Flea's bass licks...all I need are players who can do the other parts.
Wings and Chili Peppers are my two all-time favorite bands, and I think it would be rad to form a tribute band which plays songs from both bands!...you know, to give the audience a little variation...maybe like a Chili Peppers song followed by a Wings song kind of approach...or perhaps it's best to play a small set of Peppers songs, and then a small set of Wings songs - I'm open to suggestions.
No alcohol or drugs, but 420 OK.
Must have pro gear and a pro attitude! - and be able to practice 6 nights a week.
Must own a car made in 2005, or newer.
Must be between the ages of 5 1/2 and 47 3/4.
Also, must be a christian.
Hit me up dude!
Peps rule!
Peace out

I'm a pepper, he's a pepper, your a pepper-everybody sing now...

That's one scary looking chick. Give me nightmares. Don't fall asleep, it will be a horror movie........yikes........

I know, I'm an older dude. I come from a different place, different music, even though I think I have a pretty wide taste in music.

But this kind of thing IMO has little to do with the music. There are other issues there. The "music" is just a vehicle for people to go to those places. And all show business aside, those aren't nice places. :hmm:

I would usually agree with this but those kinda bands usually do have really sick drummers...both at drumming, and in the head.

EDIT: I re-read this and realized it was grindcore, I just assumed metal. I take back what I said...I knew a guy in a grind core band...it's not even music last I checked... Just some people screaming and beating the **** out of their instruments.

Based on my experience.

must not overplay=they only want you as a hired gun, but more than likely do not make any money therefore cannot afford to pay you until the "Big Break"

must not be tied down=you have to devote a huge chunk of your life, and we may need to hit you up for some cash from time to time. Once again, we cannot afford to pay you back until the "Big Break"

laughable
